Objectives
This course will focus on providing a detail overview of the cardiovascular anatomy, physiology and pathology. The course will also review the current standard treatments for most cardiovascular diseases especially in the context of medical device innovation. The aim of this lecture series is to provide insight in to human physiology and pathology so that the attendees can understand how a medical device can work with the human cardiovascular system. The course will be extensively illustrated with recorded cases of PCI including complex PCIs.Content includes
Live case on coronary intervention from the Department of Cardiology, Galway. During the course a simulator will be available for attendees to perform coronary angioplasty and stenting.Who should attend
