Business Foresight Model Strategy Implementation

Objectives

Influence the strategic development of Irish Medtech Association member organisations by delivering best-quality industry foresight. Ireland’s med-tech sector can become more competitive by developing a deeper understanding of the complex business models being used throughout the industry and global supply chain. The Irish Medtech Association Board established the Business Model Foresight Taskforce which in conjunction with Deloitte launched ‘Med Tech Ireland - Business Foresight Model’ in May 2013 - which examines the top emerging business models being used around the world by med-tech companies. A key enabler of the Business Model Foresight Strategy is the establishment of appropriate forums to enable industry thought leaders in Ireland to share knowledge, discuss impact of changing models and prepare for the future. In 2014, Irish Medtech Skillnet will sponsor two workshops to progress the implementation of its Strategy.
